Welded Garden Sculptures

Posted by on Mar 9, 2013 in Projects

Gary at Bourne Again Gardens has recently put his artisic side to good use by designing and making some welded garden sculptures which have been commissioned by customers.

The first was the design for the welded mushroom sculptures below. They were made for a customer who was looking for something different in her garden. The sculptures are approximately three feet and two feet tall and have two prongs at the bottom so they can be stuck into the ground. Last summer we did a stall at a garden open day for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) and sold out of these sculptures in two hours.

These welded garden sculptures are priced at £25 a pair plus postage. Each is individually made, no two the same. They can be changed to suit your design.

The next piece that was designed was for Kimberleys Mum as a bespoke piece for next to her natural pond.

The dragonfly was commissioned to have a four feet wingspan and be a couple of feet tall. Gary designed the dragonfly and made it in his workshop using an anvil and Mig welder. The bare bone skeleton was put together first…

The rest of the detail was then added to the dragonfly. The following pictures show the finished piece in situ by the pond. Please fill in the contact form if you are interested in having a bespoke piece designed and sculptured for your garden. The perfect gift for the gardener who has everything. The typical gardener will always be on the look out for something ‘different’, and here it is!

A truly bespoke design and made entirely by hand. Each piece is different, made with love and built to last. The dragonfly is priced at £120 plus postage or free local delivery. Please use the contacts page for more information or to specify your design.
